Crudup-Ward Staff, parents, and community helpers gathered at the Center on Friday, December 14, 2012 at 8:30 P.M. to unload the fruit truck for their Annual Fundraising Project. Each year, the center provides fruit for families during the Christmas Holidays.
This year Crudup-Ward unloaded over 400 + boxes of fruit to be given out to customers. "Compared to last years record of 1000 + boxes being sold, this year was not such a problem keeping count of fruit boxes or going through boxes one by one to check for bad fruits and replace them," stated Stacy Lucas, Assistant Director of Crudup-Ward Childcare Center.
Crudup-Ward appreciates the support of parents and staff members who sold fruit this year, and the Center announced 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place sellers and provided them with a monetary gift. Others who sold a certain amount of fruit boxes received a free box of fruit.
The Crudup-Ward Center plans to continue this fundraising effort next year. The Crudup-Ward Center has been participating in this fundraising project for over five years and continues to serve as a main fundraiser every year for the community.
