STAFF DIRECTORY PROFILE: DeAnte' V. Spann
DeAnte V. Spann serves as the content management webmaster for the Crudup-Ward Activity Center. In this position, DeAnte Spann serves as the official person for controlling the company's website, web traffic, and website statistics.
Spann created the company's first website that entails all that Crudup-Ward has to offer. Spann led the Crudup-Ward community in merging and communicating a consistent brand and slogan - A Center Sharing Tender Loving Care & Opening Doors to Your Success. His innovative efforts to increase market visibility and improve the company's overall experience in communication has greatly benefited.
Spann saw the need to grow the company through the Internet. After discussing this initiative with President/CEO, Annie Ward-Lowery, he began to develop a main website for all the services of the Center. After working on the site, it was approved and then published to what is now the center's official website which has been active for at least four years.
DeAnte Spann attended Alcorn State University for his undergraduate studies in education. He has also attended the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to conduct extensive research studies on African American males in the field of education. His research interests include retention and completion for underrepresented groups in higher education, community effects on children learning, and technology integration within education.
Spann continues to explore his media aspirations of creating websites, taking pictures, developing brochures, flyers, and much more.
Spann is actively engaged within his community, church, and school. He often delivers motivational speeches to the youth in his surrounding communities, especially to students enrolled in Crudup-Ward After-school and Summer Programs.
